CURRICULUM

We have gone to great lengths in researching many options in order to come up with the current curriculum.  We have compiled a comprehensive curriculum that not only meets international learning standards and is built on biblical principles; but also responds to the needs of each individual’s learning style.

The curriculum is based on an International Christian programme. The high school program prepares students for successful entry into universities and colleges around the world. All students work towards a High School Diploma over the four years of high school. Currently, students do SATs but we plan to offer more options soon.

The highly acclaimed SAXON Mathematics program is used to teach concept development as well as computational skills and the Abeka and Bob Jones programs for Reading and Literature, Science, Language, Penmanship, Spelling, Social Studies and Art.

Music and art are not extracurricular activities; Research Studies have shown a strong correlation between Music and improved learning abilities. Each week children are given the opportunity and guidance to expand their mastery of music and song. Students are taught art concepts appropriate for their age level. The Art classes allow children to express themselves through different types of media including moulding, assembling, colouring, drawing and painting techniques.

Bible

The Bible teaches us to “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6. We take that command seriously; each subject is approached from a biblical perspective. Scripture memorization, exciting activities and colorful workbook pages are used to help children fully understand the Bible. All activities draw students to God the Creator.

Teaching style
Since our class sizes are small, teachers are able to give special attention where needed or to challenge gifted children. In addition to developing a close working relationship with students and their families in order to promote academic excellence.

Extra-Curricular Activities
Physical Education and games are an important activity for our students. Studies have shown the correlation between physical activity and academic success. For example, our swimming programme is designed to ensure that all students develop skill and confidence in swimming plus diving as well as in water safety and survival techniques.

Library and ICT Lab
Students have full use of our school library .The computer laboratory is available for children to improve their typing and computer skills.  A science lab coming soon! God is our provider.
